Nutritional Assessment
This takes place in the first session with the Dietitian and has a duration of approximately 60 minutes. You will be asked a series of questions which assist the Dietitian in understanding which treatment approach will most benefit you. The assessment may involve setting goals and discussing some practical strategies for achieving them. There will also be an opportunity to have any nutritional questions answered.
Nutritional Review
This takes place after the initial assessment and is a chance for you to discuss your goals and provide feedback on how well the strategies devised in the last session suited your lifestyle. Review sessions usually take 20-30 minutes and are not limited in number. You can attend for a review as frequently as you like, however regular intervals are recommended as this produces more comprehensive outcomes.
Extended Nutritional Review
Sometimes circumstances arise where 20-30 minutes is insufficient time to cover all the events between sessions, such as in the event of a new diagnosis or difficulty implementing the strategies discussed. In this case, an extended review session (45-50 minutes) can be requested (please note, a slightly higher fee is involved).
